New Caller Experience coming to Near Me/Attend Anywhere

What’s Happening?

The screens that your patients/clients see when they come into their video appointments are changing at the end of July and we need to prepare for that. More information will be displayed to your callers, this information already exists for your waiting area but not so visible to callers so should now be reviewed and may need to be amended.

Why Is This Happening?

The new caller experience improves accessibility and usability.

When Is This Happening?

 September 2021.

What Do You Need To Do?

pictorial guidance for updating waiting area informationLog into Near Me as usual at https://nhs.attendanywhere.com/

Please check the Description field in your waiting area [Waiting Area settings > General Information > Description field] to ensure this is what you wish your callers to see. This should not be left blank.

Please check the Advice for Callers information field [Waiting Area settings > Information for Callers > Advice for Callers] to check this is valid/appropriate.

thumbnail image fo new caller entry pdfPlease check/update your ‘Please Read’ section [Waiting Area Settings > Before Calls (Please Read! Text)] as it will now appear before your callers enter their details instead of just before they start their call.

Please note that many waiting areas have old nhs.net email addresses in the staff support contact field, please check this in your waiting area and update as necessary with the correct details. Waiting Area Settings >Support Contact for Staff.

The following, very brief and mute video, shows the changes required.

When Does This Need To Be Done?

Please complete the actions above by the end of June.
