Edge and Chrome version 101 onwards have stopped Philips/Dragon Digital Dictation devices (USB) from being able to be used for Near Me or other WebRTC calls. The browser no longer detects them as a microphone devices therefore Providers cannot enter into Near Me calls.
Leaving the dictation device plugged in results in failed calls even if a different microphone is set as the default. The only workaround is to unplug the device before opening the browser and use another microphone, normally the one on your webcam or a headset.
